New Visitor Information

First Time Visitor

When you visit Prince of Peace on a typical Sunday, you will be greeted by a warm smile and handshake as you enter the main sanctuary doors. The greeters will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Ushers are passing out bulletins at the entrances to the narthex and will be able to provide large print bulletins if requested.

“Quiet bags” are available for young children to help keep them occupied. Please ask the ushers or greeters for the locations of these bags.

Come As You Are

When you come to Prince of Peace, please dress in what makes you comfortable. Worship is about your faith and spirit, not the clothes you wear. You will see people dressed in suit and ties, blazers, dresses, jeans, t-shirts, shorts and sandals.

Morning Worship Service

Morning worship service starts at 9:00 a.m. with Sunday school beginning at 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.: Confirmation Class for 6th, 7th and 8th graders is held during this time also. During the summer months (Memorial Day – 2nd Sunday in Sept), there is no Sunday school or Confirmation classes.

Mid-Week Worship Service

We offer Wednesday evening worship services at 7:00 p.m. year round. The mood is relaxed and music is guitar-led.

Communion

Holy Communion is the Lord’s Supper and Christ welcomes each and every single one of you to his table. We serve grape juice and wine and have gluten-free wafers available. Children and adults not communing may come to the altar for a blessing. The ushers will direct you to the altar.

Talk to Pastor Aaron about First Communion class if you have young people ready to start partaking.

Fellowship Hour

Please join us for Fellowship hour, a Prince of Peace tradition. This is a time when the congregation enjoys sharing with one another over beverages and snacks. This is the chance to see your church family and meet and greet our visitors. Fellowship hour is in “The Gathering Place” immediately following worship and located to the right of the nave.
