Prince of Peace offers many youth activities throughout the year for various age groups:

  • LYO – Lutheran Youth Organization welcomes youth in high school (9th through 12th grade)
  • YouFO – Youth Fellowship Organization welcomes youth in junior high (6th through 8th grade)
  • KOK – Kids of the Kingdom welcomes youth in 3rd through 5th grade

Each of these groups have adult sponsors who plan and chaperone various activities throughout the year. Examples include roller skating, bowling, corn maze fun, mailing packages to college bound members, baking cookies for homebound members, etc. In addition, LYO attends “The Gathering” each year in Lansing and YouFO attends “YouthQuake” near Toledo each year.

“The Gathering” is an opportunity for groups of Lutheran youth with adult chaperones from all over Michigan and some from Ohio to gather in Christ at the Holiday Inn South in Lansing for three days of fun, worship, spiritual growth, and much more. The Gathering features worship time, key-note speakers, skill shops, small groups, and many recreational options. This event happens every year from December 27th through December 30th.
